LAS VEGAS — William Hill, the United Kingdom’s largest bookmaker, announced today that the group has been recommended for licensing after the Nevada Gaming Control Board voted unanimously for approval at a hearing in Carson City. The next and final phase of licensing is set for June 21st when William Hill and its executives appear in front of the Nevada Gaming Commission.
The UK-based bookmaker made its initial entry into Nevada in spring 2011 when agreements were signed to purchase American Wagering Incorporated, Club Cal Neva and Brandywine Bookmaking LLC.
