William Hill offering multiple unique wagering opportunities for 2012 Breeders’ Cup

The Breeders’ Cup is horse racing’s championship weekend and one of the biggest betting events of the year. The best horses from around the world gather to compete in 15 races over two days.

This year’s Breeders’ Cup takes place this Friday and Saturday at Santa Anita Park near Los Angeles. There will be 15 total races with $26 million in prize money. The riches of the races is the $5 million Breeders’ Cup Classic to be run Saturday.

With large fields and expected big payouts, the Breeders’ Cup is an event that appeals to both casual and expert horseplayers. Over $150 million nationwide is expected to be wagered on this year’s Breeders’ Cup.

Breeders’ Cup wagering will be offered at 33 William Hill Race & Sports Book locations throughout the state (listed below), including several unique betting opportunities and incentives exclusive to William Hill customers, such as:

$5,000 Twin Quinella – Our daily Twin Quinella jackpot will be increased to $5,000 for Saturday’s races. The bet costs $2 per combination, and players can get a share of the progressive jackpot by picking the top two finishers for the two designated races. If there are no winners on Saturday, the jackpot will carry over to the following Saturday.

William Hill is offering prop bets matching various horses head-to-head on the Breeders’ Cup races. Bettors pick the horse with the best finish position.

Hat Giveaway – Customers placing $50 in Breeders’ Cup wagers at designated race books will be eligible to receive an official souvenir 2012 Breeders’ Cup hat with the William Hill logo embroidered on the side. It is the same hat that is being sold at the event, and will be available in both purple and white.
