William Hill Employees Are Honored at 2015 Home Awards

William Hill Sports Book Team at Tamarack Junction wins Customer Service Team of the Year

BRIGHTON, ENGLAND (May 27, 2015) William Hill hosted its annual night of recognition and celebration with the 2015 HOME Awards at The Grand Hotel in Brighton, England on Thursday, May 21st.  William Hill U.S. was well represented by 11 colleagues making the trip, including representatives from three Nevada Sports Book locations, for their achievements from the past year.

The William Hill Sports Book team at Tamarack Junction Casino in Reno won the 2015 HOME Award for U.S. Customer Service Team of the Year.  Nominated the past two years for the award, the winning team at Tamarack Junction of Wayne, Art, Angel, Cruise, and Adam collectively have 43 years of combined Sports Book experience.

The nomination for the team’s well-deserved honor highlighted that when patrons are visiting the William Hill Sports Book at Tamarack Junction Casino that they “truly feel like they are at home because the team makes customized sports sheets based on customers’ needs and the ticket writers always go the extra mile in providing exceptional service”.

Thirteen awards were given out throughout the night.  Las Vegan Sandy Drozd, nominated for Outstanding Service – Group Colleague or Team of the Year, was one of three finalists from over 16,000 William Hill employees in the United Kingdom, Gibraltar, Israel, Bulgaria, Italy, Spain, Australia, the Philippines, and the U.S.  Sandy’s nomination recognized her for “always going above and beyond with a positive can do attitude”.

The teams at the William Hill Sports Books from Tuscany Suites and Casino (Las Vegas) and Eldorado Resort and Casino (Reno) were the other two finalists for the 2015 HOME Award for U.S. Customer Service Team of the Year.  William Hill U.S. operates 103 Sports Books across the state of Nevada.

NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING TO THE CONTRARY IN THIS AGREEMENT, WILLIAM HILL MAY TERMINATE THIS AGREEMENT WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE IF ILLINOIS EXECUTIVE ORDER 2020-41 EXPIRES, IS TERMINATED, ENDED OR WITHDRAWN, OR HELD INVALID.  

Executive Order 2020-41 states in pertinent part that “During the duration of the Gubernatorial Disaster Proclamations, the provisions in the Sports Wagering Act, 230 ILCS 45/25-30(f), 25-35(f), and 25-40(i) requiring in-person creation of a sports wagering account at a facility authorized pursuant to the Act in order to participate in sports wagering offered over the internet or through a mobile application, are suspended.”
