“Any edge you can get as a bettor is good,” Bogdanovich said. “At -110 each way or with 20-cent lines, you’ve got to hit about 52.3% to break even. So by lowering it to 10-cent lines, it lowers that percentage needed for bettors. We have 10-cent lines for baseball up to -160 and then it graduates a little, but the majority of the games are in that pocket. It’s like a different type of bonus.
