Bet UFC with William Hill, America’s #1 sportsbook.
The sports calendar is loaded tomorrow, including the start of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Preakness Stakes and another strong UFC card.
There are 12 fights slated for UFC 262 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas for tomorrow night, headlined by a title bout.
The vacant lightweight title will be awarded in the Lone Star State, as No. 3-ranked contender Charles Oliveira and No. 4-ranked contender Michael Chandler will duke it out. This belt was previously held by Khabib Nurmagomedov before he announced his retirement.
Oliveira (30-8, 1 NC) opened at -120 in William Hill Nevada back on April 30, while Chandler (22-5) had even-money odds. Now Oliveira is up to -135, whereas Chandler is priced at +115. The total is set at 2.5, with the under heavily favored at -180 and the over residing at +160.
The majority of William Hill bettors are backing the underdog in this main event. Chandler has snagged 54% of the total number of tickets and 67% of the total dollars wagered among all moneyline wagers against Oliveira. That includes one Nevada bettor putting $4,800 on Chandler +105 for a total potential payout of $9,840, the largest UFC 262 wager taken at William Hill.
Another lightweight bout is the co-main event for UFC 262. No. 5-ranked contender and former interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson squares off against No. 9-ranked contender Beneil Dariush. Yet, it’s Dariush who’s the favorite here at -160, whereas Ferguson is +140. Dariush was first listed at -145 before climbing up to his current price.
Ferguson at plus odds has been enticing for many William Hill bettors so far. He’s getting 67% of the total number of tickets, the only fighter north of 60% in that category as of now. Ferguson has additionally generated 63% of the total dollars wagered.
Interestingly enough, Chandler and Ferguson are the only underdogs drawing the majority of the total number of tickets and total dollars wagered on the entire UFC 262 card.
For total dollars wagered, only one fighter has obtained at least 90%. Gina Mazany is the biggest favorite on the card at -220, and she’s seized 91% of the total dollars wagered as well as 58% of the total number of tickets against Priscila Cachoeira (+190).
Another women’s matchup has experienced the biggest line movement for UFC 262. Andrea Lee opened at +165 against Antonina Shevchenko (-185). Lee is currently down to +105, and has collected 54% of the total dollars wagered. Shevchenko, now at -125, still has the advantage in total number of tickets at 57%.
