Several William Hill bettors stand to collect some big payouts this Sunday. William Hill first released its 2020-21 Conference Championship futures on January 20, 2020, and they are about to be decided this weekend.
The Chiefs opened as +325 co-favorites along with the Ravens to represent the AFC in this year’s Super Bowl. The Bills were first listed at 15/1, which was tied for the seventh-lowest odds with the Chargers and Raiders. Buffalo trailed the Chiefs, Ravens, Patriots (+600), Titans (12/1), Texans (12/1) and Steelers (12/1).
Over in the NFC, the Packers were originally priced at +750 at William Hill along with the Eagles. The only teams ahead of them were the 49ers (+350) and Saints (+500). Meanwhile, the Buccaneers opened with the longest odds of any of the four Conference Championship participants at 25/1.
So what are some of the notable potential Conference Championship future payouts for William Hill bettors?
The two biggest ones are both on the defending Super Bowl champion. A Mississippi bettor laid $40,000 on Chiefs -120 back in December for a total potential payout of $73,333.35, while a Nevada bettor put $33,000 on Chiefs -110 in January for a total potential payout of $63,000.
Another Nevada bettor had a sizable wager on the Bills when they were at the highest odds at any point since the futures were first released. A $3,000 bet was placed on Bills 17/1 for a total potential payout of $54,000.
Nevada bettors are in line for the largest total potential payouts for NFC Conference Championship futures as well. A $10,000 bet was taken on Buccaneers +450 for a total potential payout of $55,000. Additionally, there’s a $5,000 wager on Packers at also +450 for a total potential payout of $27,500.
Other notable future wagers at long-shot odds include $840 on Packers 11/1 ($10,080 total potential payout), $500 on Bills 16/1 ($8,500 total potential payout) and $250 on Buccaneers 30/1 ($7,750 total potential payout).
