The Premier League returns this week after a three-month stoppage, with some of the best teams and players competing across England.
While Liverpool is close to clinching its first-ever Premier League title, there’s still plenty at stake for the 19 other teams.
Liverpool enters its game against Everton this Sunday with an incredible 27-1-1 record, and is leading second-place Manchester City by 25 points. A win over Everton or a Manchester City loss to Arsenal on Wednesday wraps up the title for the Reds.
Several clubs, however, will be vying for the four coveted bids to next season’s Champions League.
Manchester City is in good position for a top-four finish, however it is facing a two-year ban from European competition. If the punishment is upheld, that potentially means the fifth-place team could wind up with one of the spots.
Leicester City is in third with 53 points, followed by Chelsea at 48. There are three teams within five points of Chelsea—Manchester United, Wolverhampton and Sheffield United—meaning plenty of drama down the stretch.
At the bottom of the standings, the three Premier League teams with the fewest amount of points get relegated to the English Football League Championship. Just four points separate the 15th-place team (Brighton) and 19th-place team (Aston Villa), so quite a few clubs will be fighting to remain in the top league in England.
There are 11 Premier League matches this week, including two on Wednesday. In the first showdown, Sheffield United (+120 odds at William Hill) battles Aston Villa (+240) at 1:00 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT. In the later contest, Manchester City is a -300 favorite over Arsenal (+710).
