NASCAR’s Cup Series makes its next pit stop at the Talladega Superspeedway, as 40 drivers will be competing at the GEICO 500 this Sunday in Lincoln, Alabama.
There are five co-favorites at William Hill for this weekend’s race: Denny Hamlin, Chase Elliott, Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano and Ryan Blaney each have 10/1 odds to win. Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch are next at 12/1, followed by Martin Truex Jr., Alex Bowman and Kurt Busch all at 18/1.
But who has stood out to William Hill bettors in a crowded top of the odds board?
Four drivers rank in the top 5 in both total number of tickets and total dollars wagered for the GEICO 500: Elliott, Blaney, Logano and Kyle Busch.
Elliott leads the way in total number of tickets at 10%, with Logano and Blaney next at 7% apiece.
Elliott and Blaney have also each generated 12% of the total dollars wagered, but they still trail Kyle Busch at 14% in that department.
One New Jersey bettor placed a $1,500 wager on Kyle Busch 12/1, which is the largest wager taken thus far at William Hill for the GEICO 500. If Busch were to capture the checkered flag on Sunday, that bettor would receive a total payout of $19,500.
Further down the board, a couple drivers have attracted noteworthy bets as well. A Nevada bettor put down $250 on Bubba Wallace 30/1 for a potential $7,750 total payout, while another New Jersey bettor placed $125 on Chris Buescher 50/1 for a potential $6,375 total payout.
William Hill also has nine head-to-head matchups available for the race, including Hamlin (-125) vs. Elliott (+105) and Logano (-110) vs. Keselowski (-110).
