Bet NFL with William Hill, America’s #1 sportsbook.
We’ve been waiting for months, but today is finally the day—we get to watch an NFL game being played.
The 2021 NFL preseason begins tonight at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on FOX when the Cowboys take on the Steelers in Canton, Ohio in the Hall of Fame Game.
“I’m ready for football,” said Nick Bogdanovich, Director of Trading. “I’m getting more and more excited for September to get here. Tonight’s game is by itself and it’s the first one, so we’ll write decent action to it. I would say the average preseason handle is similar to a lower-tier NBA regular season game.”
Two 2021 first-round draft picks will be making their debuts tonight, with Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons and Steelers tailback Najee Harris. Parsons is the current favorite at William Hill Nevada to win Defensive Rookie of the Year award at +600, while Harris is tied for the sixth-lowest odds for Offensive Rookie of the Year at 10/1.
There are also familiar faces in new places on the field and on the sideline. Former Washington quarterback Dwayne Haskins will be suited up in a Pittsburgh uniform under center, while former Falcons head coach Dan Quinn is now the new Dallas defensive coordinator.
The Steelers opened as 1-point favorites over the Cowboys at William Hill Nevada. Pittsburgh (-135 on the moneyline) is now up to -2 against Dallas (+115 ML). The total has experienced some movement as well, dropping from 34 to 31.5.
William Hill bettors are aligned on the Steelers winning and covering the first preseason contest of 2021. Pittsburgh has snagged 74% of the total number of tickets and 73% of the total dollars wagered among all spread bets against Dallas, as well as 67% of the total number of tickets and 91% of the total dollars wagered for all moneyline bets.
The under has been a popular wager too, as it has received 56% of the total number of tickets and 87% of the total dollars wagered. That includes one New Jersey bettor laying $5,000 on Cowboys vs. Steelers under 33 (-110) for a total potential payout of $9,545.45. That is the biggest wager taken thus far by William Hill for the 2021 Hall of Fame Game.
