UFC Fight Night is back this weekend, and William Hill currently has odds for 10 fights up for this upcoming card.
Saturday’s headliner features a former champion making his debut in a new weight class, and he’s getting a difficult first test.
Frankie Edgar, who held the lightweight title belt, has switched to bantamweight and will square off against No. 5-ranked contender Pedro Munhoz.
After being priced as low as -220, Munhoz is currently a -240 favorite over Edgar for the main event. For the total, under 3.5 rounds is favored at -125 with the over at +105.
Munhoz (18-4) has won three of his past four matches, though he is aiming to rebound from a loss in his last bout against Aljamain Sterling. Munhoz has never been finished in his career, as all four of his defeats have come by decision.
Meanwhile, this is the third weight class that Edgar (22-8-1) is competing in. Two years after becoming the lightweight champion in 2010, Edgar moved to the featherweight division. Now he goes from the 145-pound division to 135 pounds with bantamweight.
In the co-main event, it’s a light heavyweight battle between Ovince St. Preux and Alonzo Menifield. Menifield is a slight -125 favorite, and is looking for his 10th victory in 11 career fights.
A different fighter slated to duke it out on the main card, however, has attracted significant early interest.
Mariya Agapova enters with a 9-1 record, and she’s the biggest favorite for Saturday at -1100 against Shana Dobson. She’s drawn the three biggest bets thus far on the entire card at William Hill, highlighted by one Nevada bettor placing $11,000 on Agapova -1100 for a total potential payout of $12,000.
