The 2020 RBC Heritage begins tomorrow, as a strong collection of golfers will be competing for a $1.278 million winner’s check at Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
After Rory McIlroy opened atop the odds board by himself at 12/1, there’s a new favorite at William Hill. Bryson DeChambeau now leads the way at 12/1, with McIlroy right behind at 13/1. DeChambeau was originally tied for the second-lowest odds at 15/1 with Justin Thomas and the field (any others).
DeChambeau stands alone, though, for the action he’s been generating. He’s received 11% of the total dollars wagered to win the RBC Heritage, with the next-highest percentage belonging to Justin Rose (15/1) at 6%. Webb Simpson (20/1), Sungjae Im (25/1) and Patrick Reed (25/1) have all captured 5% of the total dollars wagered.
The largest 2020 RBC Heritage wager placed thus far at William Hill was also on DeChambeau. A Nevada bettor placed $1,500 on him at 15/1, which could result in a total payout of $24,000.
For total number of tickets, Xander Schauffele (20/1) leads the way at 5%. Schauffele, just edges out several golfers who have currently gotten 4%—DeChambeau, Rose, Thomas, Simpson, Im and Reed.
McIlroy, meanwhile, has generated 3% of the total number of tickets and 4% of the total dollars wagered.
Regarding longshots, another Nevada bettor placed $500 on Charley Hoffman 200/1 for a potential total payout of $100,500—the largest one thus far at William Hill for this tournament. Hoffman is now listed at 125/1 odds.
Besides having futures odds up for 97 golfers plus the field, William Hill also has 20 head-to-head matchup props and five first-round score props available.
