After William Hill released its 2020 NFL draft prop bets on Tuesday, some players have seen noticeable shifts in their draft position odds.
Expected to go near the top of the draft, Tua Tagovailoa opened at 4.5, with the over (drafted fifth or later) favored. Now, the Alabama quarterback is set at 3.5 with the under (drafted third or before) favored.
Bettors are banking on Tagovailoa winding up as a top-3 selection, as 60% of the total number of tickets and 94% of the total dollars wagered have come in on the under.
The two biggest movers in term of draft position odds thus far, though, are expected to be late Day 1 or early Day 2 selections.
Houston offensive lineman Josh Jones opened at 32.5, however his number currently resides at 27.5. That five-spot differential is the biggest change of any player’s draft position since the props were released. Additionally, 80% of the total number of tickets and 72% of the total dollars wagered have come in on the under for Thomas.
On the end of the spectrum, bettors are pessimistic about Wisconsin tailback Jonathan Taylor’s chances of going in the first round. After opening at 32.5, Taylor’s draft position odds have dropped all the way down to 36.5, the biggest decrease of any player on the board. The over on Taylor has received a whopping 99% of the total dollars wagered along with 80% of the total number of tickets.
