The 152nd running of the Belmont Stakes takes place tomorrow at in Elmont, New York.
Ten horses will be competing in the shortened race, as the 2020 edition will be 1 1/8 miles. This is also the first time in the race’s history that it is preceding both the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes.
Tiz the Law opened as an even-money favorite at William Hill, and is now priced at -120 to win the 2020 Belmont Stakes.
William Hill bettors have been galloping to bet the favorite, as Tiz the Law leads all horses with 74% of the total dollars wagered and 29% of the total tickets for the race.
One Nevada bettor placed a $1,000 wager on Tiz the Law at even odds, the largest bet taken on the race thus far at William Hill. If Tiz the Law were to finish in first, that bettor would receive a $2,000 total payout.
Tap It to Win is tied for the second-lowest odds at 5/1, and also ranks second in both total number of tickets (13%) and total dollars wagered (6%).
